This year we have a bigger and better new venue, with more services available than last year. This will be THE PARTY OF THE SUMMER.

Be sure to join us at Monte’s for The Hitmen this January 28th at 8:30pm. There will be a $10 cover fee, with all proceeds going the the Biker’s Down Society.

There will be a 50/50 Draw and door prizes as well!

Come one, come all – just because it’s the off-season doesn’t mean you can’t have fun! Tell your friends, and we’ll see you at Monte’s!

ToadStock will feature a variety of vendors, mud wrestling, bike games, a wet T-shirt contest and a band. There will also be a tatoo artist on-site. All proceeds will go to the Biker’s Down Society.

For those of you who want to set up early, there will be someone at the ToadStock site from about 11:00am-8:00pm on Friday night.

No alcohol will be sold on site. Non-bikers are welcome. If you intend to participate in the mud wrestling, please be sure to bring a bathing suit.

How to get there?

Take Hwy 14 to Rawdon Gold Mines. When you reach the XTR gas station (it’s the only one), Valley Rd is directly across the street. Drive about 5 kms (this road is a little on the rough side) to stop sign. Turn right at stop onto Hwy 202. ToadStock site will be about 1 km up on the left. The civic number is 1141 Hwy 202 (or West Gore Rd).

On June 26th Biker’s Down invites you to join us on our Memorial Ride With The Angels. We are hosting this ride in remembrance of all the bikers who have passed away since 2006.

The ride leaves Riding In Style Leather in Sackville at noon. We will be riding up the #1 highway to Lakelands, then turning left onto highway #214 to Enfield Road and then left onto the #2 to Fall river Road. Finally it’s onto Cobequid Road to Sackville Drive and back to Riding In Style Leather for a Bikers Down Barbecue Social and music by The Jimi Show called Memories. We will be accepting donations to the Bikers Down Society at this time, so be sure to bring a donation to support this great cause. All are welcome. Hope to see you on June 26th!

The Bikers Down Memorial Ride With The Angels is a motorcycle ride in honour of our brothers and sisters who have passed and now are the Angels who are riding with us forever.

There were three main functions again in fundraising activities in this fiscal period.They included the
Annual Memorial Dance in March 2010,the 2010 Toad Memorial Poker Run in August 2010 and the draw for the 250 Hyosung motorbike in September at the Wharf Rat Rally.

Once again members and volunteers traveled to numerous events to sell tickets on the bike and t-shirts.
We now also sell t-shirts and all tickets at Riding In Style Leather/Beccas Boutique where the next bike
is on display for all to see and even sit on it.Bikers Down Society along with Riding In Style Leather will
be having a Friday Night Bikers Down bike Night at 528 Sackville Drive starting at a date to be announced from 6-9pm where hot dogs,pop,water,coffee will be available for a donation to help raise awareness and money for the Society.

We will continue to work on our policies to change our bylaws to reflect who we need to become.Bikers Down has had an article written in the Bedford ,Sackville ,Halifax,and Dartmouth community news.We also had coverage on CBC radio with an interview of Bikers Down Chairman Jimi Swinamer.

For the upcoming year we must continue our push for public awareness and government support to make our roads more motorcycle friendly.

Annual General Meeting – Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at 7:00pm

If you wish to attend the Annual General Meeting, you must pre-register either by email or by phone (902) 462-7466 no later than Monday, February 28, 2011 at 5:00pm.

Any member proposing changes to the By-Laws or to add an issue to the agenda, must do so by Monday, February 28 at 5:00pm.

Venue will be decided after number of registrants has been determined. Venue will be announced one week prior to meeting.

The winner of this year’s 250 Hyosung drawn at the Wharf Rat Rally this past weekend was Anna Ford of Maitland Bridge, NS.

We’d also like to send out a special thank-you to Medric “Seadog” Cousineau for collecting donations for the fund from the magic act he performed around the Digby Waterfront during the Wharf Rat Rally.  He collected over approximately $115 for us!

• If someone wants to do just the run or dance the price is $10 but does not include a ticket on the bike
• Best hand $500;  Worst hand $100
• Best & worst hand will be announced at Monte’s
