Bikers’ Down Society is reaching out to the NS COMMUNITY with a request to all Businesses, MC’s & MRC’S for their support of a donation towards our upcoming ONLINE AUCTION. It will close on November 22nd, 2020.

As 2020, has been a difficult year with no fundraising endeavours for BDS, due to the Pandemic. We decided to try to organize some online fundraising. We do hope to count on some community support to be able to assist more NS Riders.

On LABOUR DAY WEEKEND leaving SEPT 4 TO Sept 6/7, heading to River John School, the site where Toadstock is held, with the Board Members, PAST & PRESENT Volunteers, & POTENTIAL NEW VOLUNTEERS, for a social distancing camping weekend. A fee of $50 for the camping & also includes a Friday supper, Saturday breakfast & Supper, & a Sunday breakfast.

As For your Saturday supper, included with your RSVP, we request that you please advise of your preference for supper, if you prefer a seafood type supper or lasagna by August 23rd.

Please know this is not an rally or Toadstock. This is just to learn the history of Bikers Down, where we’ve been, where we are, meet the Board members from BDS Board Headquarters & Cape Breton BDS Committee, & where we’d like to see Bikers Down go in the future. If you have interest in becoming a volunteer, we’d like to get to know you!

There will NOT be a dance, but most likely campfire sing-a-long, so bring your instruments if you want to.

The Board wishes to extend HUGE THANK YOU’S to Safety Services Nova Scotia for their generous annual donation of a Motorcycle Training Course valid between September 2020-2021, to Torn Souls MRC for their support & donation of Computer KeyBoard, 2 pairs of boys skates, a child’s bicycle helmet, and a Torn Souls Support ball cap. Also, we got confirmation tonight from the Road Dawgs MC & they are generously donating a $50 Gift Certificate for Mic Mac Bar & Grill on Waverley Road.

We sincerely hope that all MC’S & MRC’S can & will contribute & ALSO help support by giving & possibly collecting donations to help towards our Online Auction on November 22, 2020. As due to the Pandemic, WE HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO DO ANY FUNDRAISING this year!!!! Therefore, we are asking for Community support. Unfortunately, there has already been a few too many accidents this year, and we work diligently & would wholeheartedly like to keep assisting all the riders we can. I was involved in a motorcycle accident on July 20th. I suffered a broken collar bone as a result of the accident. I reached out to Bikers Down and recieved a response very quickly.I would like to say thank you to Bikers Down Society for the financial help and support they gave me in a very quick manner. THIS COVID PANDEMIC is NOT going to stop us from helping Nova Scotia RIDERS!!! So we are now collecting donations for OUR FIRST-EVER ONLINE AUCTION!!!!

We are looking to have it in MID NOVEMBER 2020 (DATE TBA). Very EXCITING FUNDRAISING NEWS for BDS.

We are hoping for Community, MC, & MRC support in this new endeavor, in hope to raise more funds to assist NS Riders.
